The powerful STIHL 2-MIX engine is part of the optimally coordinated overall system of the STIHL MS 162. It delivers good cutting performance combined with low fuel consumption. This means you can reliably achieve precise cuts, supported by the standard 3/8"P saw chain with its narrow kerf. Your chainsaw runs smoothly and quietly: The STIHL anti-vibration system reduces the transmission of vibrations to the handle, relieving your muscles and joints.

Particularly convenient: Thanks to the single-lever control, you can operate all functions such as starting, working and stopping with just one hand. And restarting after a break in work is easy, because the combination lever with stop function automatically returns to the working position. Another comfort feature is the safe and easy chain tensioning, with the side chain tensioning being particularly practical.

Combination lever with stop function

MAKES CONTROL EASIER. Only one more starting position of the combination lever is required. After switching off, the control lever automatically springs back into the working position thanks to the stop function. This means that the warm machine can be started again directly.

Lateral chain tension

FOR EASY AND SAFE CHAIN ADJUSTMENT. The lateral chain tensioning allows for safe, easy and quick chain adjustment and replacement. The tensioning bolt is operated laterally through the guide wheel cover.

STIHL anti-vibration system

Compensator

Therefore, clean the air filter only when there is a noticeable drop in power. This allows you to operate for a long time without maintenance.

Transparent oil tank
