The STIHL MS 251 C-BE petrol chainsaw is the ideal chainsaw for you if you carry out continuous cutting work, for example when harvesting firewood. It is compact, robust and thanks to a number of comfort features makes it easier for you to work in the private sector and also in trades. The STIHL MS 251 C-BE chainsaw impresses with its high cutting performance and its durable STIHL .325-RM3 chain. Even thick tree trunks can be effectively cut and processed with the optional 40 cm guide bar.

Thanks to the single-lever control, you can operate the STIHL 2-MIX engine with 2200 W (3.0 hp) in its main functions such as starting and stopping the device with one hand. This allows you to operate the saw comfortably and safely, as your right hand can always remain on the handle. To protect your muscles and joints, the STIHL anti-vibration system reduces the vibrations generated by the engine and the working tool. Starting the chainsaw is easy, because thanks to the STIHL ErgoStart, the effort is halved compared to conventional STIHL starting devices. The manual fuel pump also allows you to quickly restart the device after a work interruption. To do this, you can feed fuel directly into the carburetor by pressing the pump with your thumb.

To make your work as comfortable as possible, this STIHL 251 C-BE chainsaw has additional equipment, such as the STIHL quick chain tensioner, with which you can easily, safely and without tools to further tighten the saw chain, a tank cap that can be serviced without tools, or a pre-filter system that keeps coarse particles away from the filter.

To protect the engine from fine dust, you can additionally equip this petrol chainsaw with an HD2 air filter. This gives your STIHL MS 251 a long-lasting filter system.

STIHL 2-Mix engine

WITH HIGH EFFICIENCY. With the STIHL 2-Mix engine, you reduce exhaust emissions and fuel consumption, and thus operating costs. This 2-stroke engine is designed for easy maintenance and uses fuel efficiently even at high power. Use a mixture of gasoline and engine oil as fuel. The STIHL 2-Mix engine meets the strict EU Stage V emissions directive.

STIHL anti-vibration system

FOR MORE PLEASANT WORK. When your tool is fully deployed, vibrations occur, which are felt primarily in the handle area. The buffer and spring elements of the STIHL anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of vibrations from the engine to the handle and thus to your body. Long-lasting air filter system for chainsaws

LONGER FILTER LIFE. The pre-filter removes larger, coarse particles from the air flow before they can reach the filter itself. The HD2 filter protects the drive mechanism even from fine dust, ensuring a long engine life, long cleaning intervals and easy maintenance for your chainsaw. Only when equipped with a pre-filter and HD2 filter can we speak of a long-lasting filter system for chainsaws. With this system, you benefit from a significantly longer filter life compared to traditional filter systems.

Compensator

LOW MAINTENANCE COSTS. A regulating system in the carburetor, the compensator, by equalizing the pressure ensures that despite the increasing contamination of the air filter, the engine power, the quality of the exhaust gases and the fuel consumption remain almost constant over a long period of time. Therefore, clean the air filter only when there is a noticeable drop in power. This allows you to operate for a long time without maintenance.

Manual fuel pump

ENSURES FEWER NUMBER OF PULLS REQUIRED TO START. The manual fuel pump reduces the number of pulls of the starter rope and thus speeds up the starting process. This is especially useful after longer work breaks. To do this, operate the pump several times before starting. This way you ensure that there is enough petrol in the system when starting.

STIHL Ematic system

REDUCES OIL CONSUMPTION. The STIHL Ematic system consists of a STIHL Ematic or Ematic S bar, a STIHL Oilomatic chain and an oil pump with flow control. It ensures that the chain oil reaches where it is needed for lubrication. This can reduce oil consumption by up to 50%. If you often work in dusty conditions or use long bars, the new oil pump system allows you to easily and quickly increase the oil quantity at any time.

STIHL ErgoStart

EFFORTLESS STARTING. Thanks to STIHL ErgoStart, you save effort when starting your power tools. A gentle, even pull on the starter rope is enough. The force required to pull the starter rope is significantly reduced, and the engine starts quickly and reliably with a slow pull. This is made easier by the additional spring between the crankshaft and the starter rope pulley.

STIHL quick chain tensioner

CHAIN ADJUSTMENT WITHOUT TOOLS. Thanks to the STIHL quick chain tensioning device, you can adjust your saw chain quickly and without tools using the adjusting wheel. Turning the adjusting wheel to the left loosens the chain, turning it to the right tightens it. If you tighten the guide wheel cover, the bar is automatically locked.

Carburetor preheating

Even in the cold months of the year, you can rely on STIHL saws with carburettor preheating. When winter mode is switched on, preheated intake air surrounds the carburettor, preventing it from freezing. Switching from summer to winter mode is done with just one hand movement.

Tool-free oil and fuel tank cap
