Description

The perfect choice for hobbyist welding tasks

The Weldstar COMPACT ARC 120 inverter electric welding machine is extremely compact and functional. It is suitable for both service and construction work, as well as in welding production. Intelligent design, compactness, reliability are just some of the features that make it the perfect choice for amateur welding.

Easy adjustment of current strength

The maximum welding current is 120 A, which in practice means that it can weld with electrodes up to 3.2 mm. The current strength changes smoothly, with the minimum being 20 A. The welding current strength is adjusted using a potentiometer, with a knob with a pointer on the front panel indicating the set current strength on the scale, as well as the appropriate electrode diameter. The PV % operating mode at nominal welding current and voltage (40 degrees) is 35% at 120 A. The no-load voltage is 60 V.

Hot Start function for easier ignition of the welding arc

Inverter electric welder Weldstar Compact Arc 120 5kW has the ability to maintain constant welding current parameters, improves welding quality, makes work much easier, including vertical and ceiling welding. With these devices, arc ignition is extremely easy - most often with just one touch. In this case, this is due to the Hot Start function for easy ignition of the welding arc, which in a fraction of a second increases the current strength by about 30% compared to the set value or to the maximum for the device.

Anti-Stick function prevents electrode sticking

Thanks to the Arc Force function, the arc burns evenly and without the characteristic crackling. In this type of welding machine, the current strength and voltage after arc ignition change very little and, unlike ordinary welding transformers, remain practically constant. In this model, the tendency of the electrode to stick to the workpiece due to insufficient current strength is greatly limited. Another function of the electronic control, Anti-Stick, “takes care” of this. In the event of a short circuit, the protection instantly switches off the electrical circuit for about a second, which is why the tip of the electrode does not have time to melt and stick. After separating the electrode from the workpiece, the welding process automatically resumes.
