Opinel Peeler T-Duo Polymer Green

T-Duo peeler from Opinel It has a double serrated blade, which allows peeling fruits and vegetables even with thicker skin. It can be used in two directions, and its reverse side is suitable for cutting so-called vegetable spaghetti. The stainless steel with a hardness of 55-57 HRC used in the brand's blades is a grade optimised to guarantee both high corrosion resistance and high mechanical performance. Its advantage is that it does not require special maintenance under normal conditions of use, unlike carbon steel. However, it may reach its limits if placed in prolonged contact with aggressive environments (acid, salt water, cleaning products and others). The handle is made of high-quality polymer. The product is suitable for dishwashers.

Opinel knives, with their 120-year history, have become a symbol of French culture and way of life. The first was created in 1890 by Joseph Opinel, then an 18-year-old boy working in the family tool-making workshop. The knife quickly gained popularity among local farmers, cattle breeders and winegrowers. It was simple, light, durable and convenient. This popularity soon left the boundaries of the Savoy province, and nowadays of France as well. In 1985 the Victoria and Albert Museum in London selected the brand as part of an exhibition in honour of the "100 most beautiful products in the world", together with the Porsche 911 and the Rolex watch. Opinel was chosen as one of the 999 best designs in the world and was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York as a design masterpiece.
