Board game Chiftlik: The Building of the Village of Raykovo - Family

Chiftlik: The Construction of the Village of Raykovo is a fast cooperative board game for 2 to 8 players. You gather harvests and raise domestic animals while taking part in building the cozy village of Raykovo. It is suitable for both young and old, for experienced players and for those who prefer lighter games.

The game has two play modes: Newcomers and Old-timers. Newcomers is suitable for children, people entering the board game hobby, or a first game to learn the rules. Old-timers is suitable for more experienced players or those who want to feel a challenge. In both modes, the goal of the game is for all players to build a Chiftlik. A player has a Chiftlik when at least 6 of the 7 cards in the player's hand at the end of their turn are identical in one attribute: the same number of windows, floors, or roof slopes.

During their turn, each player performs 4 actions. Draw a card from the deck, build a face-down building, flip the card over, and give one card to your neighbour. Besides taking care of your own Chiftlik, you also have a responsibility to care for the Chiftliks of others, because you win only when everyone has completed their Chiftlik.

In Old-timers mode, besides building your Chiftliks, you must also complete the Task of the Mayor of Raykovo. He decides what crop to grow and which domestic animals to care for, and in turn rewards you with part of the village subsidies. Will you manage to complete the task within the time set by the mayor, though? It depends on you and your fellow villagers. Good luck, and take care of the Chiftlik of others too!
