The powerful Bosch battery with EFB technology is designed for the requirements of vehicles with start-stop systems and numerous electrical consumers. Its resistance to deep discharge cycles guarantees reliable starting, even at a lower state of charge. Longer life and three times greater cycle endurance compared with conventional starter batteries: with EFB technology the positive plate is covered with polyester fleece, which retains the active material additionally, self-discharge remains low and the service life is extended. Reliable starting even when supplying a large number of electrical consumers or after a long standstill: thanks to the special active material on the plates, which reduces internal resistance, and to the stabilising effect of the polyester fleece. Perfect starting power and long life: thanks to the special design and modern grid alloy for reduced corrosion. Completely maintenance-free: thanks to extremely low water consumption resulting from the modern grid alloy, as well as the double cap with labyrinth construction, which returns condensed vapours into the battery. EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery – enhanced flooded lead-acid battery) – the positive plate is covered with polyester fleece. With EFB technology the positive plate is covered with polyester fleece, which holds the active material additionally to the plate. Therefore the cycle endurance of the battery is higher than that of conventional starter batteries. The labyrinth cap returns condensed vapours into the battery. In combination with the modern grid alloy this leads to very low water consumption and makes the battery fully maintenance-free. Ion-permeable separator. Prevents contact between the positive and negative plates and the formation of sediment at the bottom of the battery case, thereby reducing the risk of short circuit – for longer service life and higher starting power. Plate set with stable connections. The central arrangement of the connectors between the positive and negative plates creates additional stability. Special grid design for increased power during cold starts, perfect charging and reduced corrosion.
