The HIMAGE 38424 optical cable, 1.5 m long, carries a digital audio signal according to the Toslink (S/PDIF) standard between a TV, soundbar, home cinema, receiver or console. It connects to any device with an optical audio input or output and transmits sound as light, so the signal is not affected by electrical interference from the mains and neighbouring cables. The 1.5 m length is practical for devices placed side by side or one above the other in an equipment cabinet.

Optical sound transmission without electrical noise

The HIMAGE 38424 optical cable carries audio through a glass-polymer fibre using light pulses instead of current. As a result, no hum or crackling from power cables and adapters in the cabinet is added to the sound. It is suitable for multichannel digital audio from a TV to a soundbar or receiver.

Durable outer braid for bends behind furniture

The HIMAGE 38424 cable has a resistant textile covering over PVC, which withstands pressing and pulling when routed along a wall or behind a cabinet. This matters for optical cables, because the fibre inside works best without sharp bends.

Compatible with any device with an optical audio output

The HIMAGE 38424 cable has two male Toslink connectors and works with TVs, soundbars, AV receivers, Blu-ray and DVD players, consoles and digital-to-analogue converters with an optical input or output. Simply connect OPTICAL OUT on the source to OPTICAL IN on the audio device.
