Three-way elliptical design with a super tweeter, designed for horizontal mounting in the rear shelf

HERTZ CX 690 are coaxial car speakers from the Cento series with a 15 x 23 cm elliptical diffuser and a frequency range from 40 Hz to 23 kHz. The three-way layout combines a woofer, a dome tweeter 40 mm and a super tweeter 20 mm. The impedance is 4 Ohm and the rated power is 100 W.

Three-way layout with a super tweeter for horizontal mounting

The 20 mm dome handles the highest frequencies, which are usually lost on the way to the listener when mounted in the rear shelf. The geometry of the front plate is calculated to keep a linear response even when the speaker is not aimed at the ears.

SPP-M diffuser made of semi-pressed paper with mica

The mica additive balances low weight with internal damping, which keeps the midrange clean at high sound power. The wide rubber suspension ring allows long cone travel and stable bass.

Ferrite magnet with high flux density

The pole plates are made of low-carbon steel and limit distortion when driven by an amplifier. The basket has a metal coating and a rubber cover over the magnet that damps parasitic vibrations.

ABS grille with metal mesh included

The package includes a protective grille made of impact-resistant ABS with a metal coating and metal mesh. It protects the diffuser from cargo and shoes when mounted in the rear shelf.
