Description
Grow plants at home with seeds Click and Grow. Thai basil is an ingredient in many Thai, Vietnamese and Cambodian dishes, including curries and pho, and has a sweet taste reminiscent of anise, fennel and clove. It is a great source of vitamins and antioxidants. No GMOs, pesticides or herbicides are used.
Plant care:
- Edible plant;
- Germinates in 7-14 days;
- Harvested between 5-12 weeks;
- Grows best at 18-30°C.
There is no limit to the number of seedlings per basil pod. Just let it thrive. To grow Thai basil, only one light arm is needed. If the stems are about to touch the lamp, simply cut them. Thai basil loves being pruned and will yield more after pruning. You can start pruning your plants about a month after planting. From time to time you can remove individual leaves. But for more flourishing growth, it is recommended to cut off the whole top - in one week two new shoots will grow. Pruning the plant will delay flowering and prevent its taste from becoming bitter. If you want Thai basil to flower, do not prune the plant any more. If you want to keep harvesting its anise-scented leaves, keep pruning.
Basil is an annual plant and is not perpetual. If more than twelve weeks have passed and the plant looks aged, it is time to replace the stem.
Basil is great for drying, and this way you can keep it for later.
