SURFACE PREPARATION
BALITURA CHROME FOLIO is suitable for work on substrates made of well-smoothed decorative layers by mandatory gluing. The substrate must be smooth, dry, and well cleaned. Non-bearing coatings must be washed or mechanically removed.
To equalize absorption capacity, improve adhesion, and depowder, the substrate must be prepared.
APPLICATION AND PROCESSING
The adhesive in the package is ready for use after being stirred until homogenized. It is recommended to use paper tape to protect adjacent walls or existing flooring.
The adhesive is applied in a single layer, densely, as a base.
The required drying time for the applied layer is 4 to 6 hours.
After the adhesive dries, the actual application of the decorative foil layer begins.
The adhesive is applied with the width of the roller included in the package, and the decorative foil is glued onto the adhesive. It is pressed with a dry short-nap paint roller over the entire area of the foil. Application continues in strips over the entire area intended for design. It is left to bond between 2 and 4 hours, and the protective layer of the foil is carefully separated from the bonded one, completing the final decorative effect. The metallized layer of the foil has adhered only to the protruding parts of the substrate.
