The sharp knives of the scarifying mechanism cut into the surface, which improves the access of air, water and nutrients to the roots. The spring-steel tines of the lawn roller are used to remove moss, cut grass and plant debris from the surface without damaging the soil. Switching between the two working tools is quick and easy.
