"Not Knowing How to Behave When Loved" gathers together five books of poetry written between 1993 and 2017.

Some texts, migrating from book to book, find their place here in a later version, because stepping forward has given them new layers of meaning; they have matured, after a brief hesitation, wrapped in their chronic anxiety.

The illustrations are from the author's personal archive. Drawings made Kolyo Karamfilov, on the knee, at the home of Elin Rahnev or in the corner of some bar. Dimples of recklessness, stronger than death.
