Leia Organa believed that the Rebellion's victory over the Empire at the Battle of Endor would usher in a lasting peace. But after decades of bitter infighting and political deadlock in the Senate of the New Republic, that hope has become a distant memory.

In "Legacy", Now a respected senator, Leia must face the dangers that threaten to tear apart the newly laid foundations of democracy, both from without and within. Criminal bosses, duplicitous politicians, and stubborn Imperial loyalists are sowing chaos across the galaxy. Desperate to take some action, the senators call for elections for First Senator, in the hope that this influential position would provide a strong leader for the divided galaxy.

But a new enemy may leave her no other choice. For in one of the galaxy's most remote corners, a mysterious threat is gathering strength…
