Mapesil AC silicone sealant

Mapesil AC is a cross-linked acetate silicone sealant suitable for sealing glass, ceramics and anodised aluminium.

Mapesil AC is used for:

• sealing expansion joints with an extension of ± 25% of the original size

• forming an elastic sealant between various elements in construction, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, automotive manufacturing, etc.

Mapesil AC is a one-component acetate silicone sealant that forms a network structure, contains no solvents, and is available coloured or transparent. It is a thixotropic paste that is easily applied with a spatula, both horizontally and vertically. It has the following properties:

• Excellent durability
• High elasticity
• Excellent adhesion to ceramics, glass and anodised aluminium
• Mould resistant
• Waterproof and vapour-permeable
• Resistant to chemical substances
• Flexible down to -40°C and resistant to temperatures up to +180°C
• Easy to work with
