The Motul 7100 4T 10W-40 motor oil is an ideal solution for motorcycles equipped with a four-stroke engine, with or without an integrated gearbox. It fully meets the Euro II and III requirements for harmful exhaust emissions. It is mainly used in Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawasaki motorcycles that require SAE viscosity grade 10W-40. What do we need to know about them? API SL – for petrol engines, developed 1997–2000, with improved energy-saving properties. JASO MA2 – the JASO (Japanese Automotive Standards Organization) classification offers a special standard for four-stroke motorcycle engines – JASO T 903, divided into three categories: MA, MA1 and MA2. JASO MA2 is distinguished by its high friction coefficient, which ensures excellent clutch engagement and constant-speed driving. Ester technology (Motul Ester Core®) is used, which has a low friction coefficient; this in turn reduces friction losses and improves engine performance. The combination of ester properties and other additives provides resistance to degradation and a long service life for the gearbox. They have an optimal phosphorus and sulphur content (less than 1200 ppm in accordance with the JASO MA2 standard), ensuring the correct functioning of the exhaust gas aftertreatment system.
