The latest generation, extremely saturated white, water-based latex paint, acrylic composite, specially formulated for tinting into near-white colors. The paint is developed using modern encapsulation technology, which increases the barrier properties of the painted surface. It is intended for decorative painting of walls and ceilings in residential, office, and public buildings, as well as in schools and healthcare facilities (hospitals, schools, kindergartens, clinics, consulting rooms, operating theaters, treatment rooms, laboratories, dialysis stations, etc.), workhouses and industrial enterprises, as well as in the food industry without direct contact with food*. This provides a beautiful, matte, uniform finish.
Recommended use:
Painting drywall, plaster, cement-lime mortars, decorative painting of concrete substrates, as well as for the renovation of old coatings. The product can be used on wooden and metal surfaces, provided the application surface is primed with a suitable primer.
Encapsulation technology:
Excellent hiding power, limiting the need for multiple coats on the surface; Increased resistance of the paint surface to stains and dirt such as: beer, oil, fruit, juice**; Increased resistance of the paint surface to dirt and dust; Reduced salt transfer (lower salt migration in old buildings, churches, museums, etc.);
Optimal and lasting effect: Extremely deep shade of white, brightens the room, visually enlarges it; The use of modern polymer technology guarantees a beautiful matte finish. Highest wet scrub resistance – Class 1 (PN-EN 13300:2002P); Color and surface resistance for a long period of time; Homogeneous and easy-to-obtain coating structure; The final result of a uniform sheen;
EASY APPLICATION:
• Non-drip formula.
• Very good adhesion to the surface.
• Easy paint spreading.
• Optimal drying time.** It is recommended that stains be removed no later than 15 minutes after the dirt gets onto the painted surface.
Application method: Brush, roller, airless spray.
Drying time at 23CAnd relative air humidity 50%: the paint takes approx. 1.5 hours to dry. The interval between the application of subsequent coats should be at least 4 hours. At lower temperatures and higher humidity, the drying time between subsequent coats may be longer.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Application conditions: All surfaces intended for coating must be dry, the air temperature must not be lower than +5°C and not higher than +25°C, and the relative air humidity must be below 80%.
Unpainted surfaces: New plaster and concrete substrates can be painted after 4 weeks. Clean these surfaces from dust and dirt, smooth out unevenness and losses with filler. In case the surface irregularities are significant, the wall should be leveled with a leveling mortar and then smooth filler should be applied over the entire surface. In case of minor irregularities, you can apply smooth filler all at once. The use of the aforementioned mortars and fillers must be carried out in accordance with the technical data sheets of these products. Machine plaster with a visible glossy sintered surface must be sanded and cleaned of dust. Then apply one coat of Optiva Primer.
Previously painted surfaces:
Wash the surface before coating and remove grease and dirt, as well as loose and flaking fragments of the old coating. Sand glossy surfaces and smooth out unevenness and losses with filler. Paint with a degree of gloss: satin, semi-matte, semi-gloss, and gloss must be sanded over the entire surface before final painting. For sanding, use 150-200 grit sandpaper. Prime the entire substrate with Optiva Primer. Priming can be omitted only if the existing coating is perfectly preserved (the manufacturer is not liable for incorrect assessment of the actual substrate).
Topcoat:
Before application, mix a sufficient amount of paint from a single production batch to avoid possible color differences. Stir the paint thoroughly before painting. Apply 2 coats of Tikkurila Optiva White. Painter's tape should be removed immediately after painting, before the paint dries. It is recommended to use ANZA painting tools. Note: Full resistance to wet scrub resistance, according to PN-EN 13300, the coating is achieved 28 days after the end of painting.
