Working principle
- Air enters the device through 2 fans located at the top: Dirty air enters the device through an opening located at the bottom rear of the device, which is protected by metal PRE-FILTERS , which serve to capture solid particles with extremely high efficiency - easy to clean and reusable.
- Entering the special working sterile disinfection chamber /built of stainless steel/, the dirty air is irradiated with a PHILIPS UV-C source with a power of 95 W.
The chamber is made individually for each device. It calculates, depending on the strength of the radiation generated by the UV-C source, the power and speed of the air flow that are necessary for UV-C (253.7 nm) to penetrate the cell wall of the microorganism and for the high-energy photons of UV-C to be absorbed by the cellular proteins and DNA/RNA.
In this process, UV-C damages the protein structure, causing metabolic disruption. As a result, the DNA/RNA is chemically altered, the organisms CANNOT metabolize and reproduce, CANNOT cause disease. At this point, the device has completed disinfection.
Disinfection of up to 120 m3/hour is achieved. It is suitable for rooms with a volume of up to 120 cubic meters.
Construction
✓ PHILIPS UV-C lamps , operating in the UV spectrum (253.7 nm): Illuminator made of special glass, filtering harmful ozone-forming (O3) radiation with a wavelength of 185 nm. OZONE-FREE guarantees its safe operation in the presence of people and animals. The powerful UV-C sources used in Quantum Medical devices, through their radiation, destroy all viruses, bacteria, molds and microorganisms.
✓ 2 powerful, quiet and UV-C resistant fans: Through them, air is introduced into the chamber where disinfection takes place.
TiO2 filter
A TiO2 filter has been added, which, through photocatalysis produced when exposed to UV-C light with a wavelength of 253.7 nm, helps improve the performance of the device and radically improves air quality by reducing odors and destroying microscopic particles that can lead to illness.
Photocatalytic technology is a step forward from the air filters used to date due to its ability to attack mold, viruses, and bacteria in the air and on surfaces.
