RUST CONVERTER 1L WURTH

The WURTH rust converter effectively stops the corrosion process and provides a strong, durable base for subsequent painting. The product penetrates deeply into the rust, reacts with it, and converts iron oxide into a stable, insoluble, blue-black organometallic complex. In this way, rust is neutralized and the surface is prepared for the application of protective coatings. Once treated, the surface can be painted with all types of topcoat paints.

Application

The surface must be clean, dry, and degreased. Loose rust, paint, and dirt should be removed with a wire brush or scraper. Apply an even, thin layer of the product with a brush or roller. Avoid runs and drips. Treated parts can be painted within 48 hours. Observe the reaction time of 3 hours. Surfaces that are not to be treated must be masked with paper or foil.

Note

Do not wash treated surfaces with water. Wash the rust converter off painted surfaces as quickly as possible. Do not use in direct sunlight, on surfaces with temperatures above 40°C, or in areas where there is a risk of freezing.
Protect from freezing.
Wash all tools with water after use.
