Ceresit CS 15 Express

Ceresit CS 15 Express is a one-component, ready-to-use, moisture-curing silicone sealant (acetoxy type), suitable for sealing sanitary premises and other construction applications requiring resistance to mould. It provides good adhesion to a variety of non-porous substrates such as glass, ceramic tiles, aluminium, metal.

waterproof, resistant to extreme temperatures.

Provides high strength, excellent resistance to shrinkage, cracking and discoloration. The product allows priming-free bonding to glass, ceramics, vitreous, painted surfaces and anodized aluminum. Contains no solvent.

Instructions for use

Ceresit CS 15 Express is supplied as a ready-to-use silicone and can be applied from the bottle with a standard pneumatic or manual gun without special pre-treatment.

All surfaces must be clean and dry, free from dust, grease and anything that could prevent good adhesion of the sealant (including icing). Residues of old sealant or other materials on the substrate must be completely removed (if necessary with a suitable silicone cleaner). Non-porous surfaces
(aluminum, glass) can be degreased with a swab soaked in solvent (alcohol or kerosene), followed by wiping with a clean cloth.

Application
Cut off the tip of the can and screw on the nozzle. The tip of the nozzle should be cut at an angle (about 45 degrees) according to the width of the joint. Place the can in the silicone syringe and fill the joint with the sealant, making sure that the sealant fits snugly against the sides of the joint and that no air is trapped. Smoothing the sealant ensures good contact between the sealant and the surfaces to be joined. Immediately after application, spray the joint with soapy water and smooth it with a suitable tool. Remove the protective strips just before the surface skin forms.

Cleaning tools
Areas contaminated with fresh sealant can be cleaned with a dry or solvent-moistened pad. Cured sealant can be cleaned by scraping (e.g. with a razor blade) or a special silicone cleaner.
