About the "Bayala" Series
In the world of Scandinavian mythology live elves, beings created by the gods Odin, Vili and Ve. The initial idea of the three was that they, having emerged from the worms inhabiting the body of the dead giant Ymir, should be settled deep underground. But a disagreement arose between Odin, Vili and Ve, because they hesitated whether they should not place them not under, but on the Earth. To make everyone happy, two types of elves were created – those that inhabit the space between earth and sky – light elves, and those that lived in the depths of the earth. Those who were in the light cared for nature, trees and flowers, while the others, the dark elves, worked with metals and loved precious stones.
It is to these mythical beings that they dedicated one of their great series from Schleich. They named the magical land of the elves Bayala (different from Bayala in Tibet) and "populated" it with many different magical creatures – unicorns, pegasi, and small and larger pets of the elves.
In this series there are elves of the sun and of the shadow, each of whom wields different powers; they constantly wage war against each other, and new and newer creatures are gradually added, and new stories are invented, which "Schleich" has published in two books that we hope will soon come to Bulgaria as well. The elves of the sun live in the Enchanted Forest and wield the power of light, while in the dark and sinister forests live the elves of the shadow, who wield the forces of darkness.
Each of the elves, regardless of whether they are of the sun or the shadow, has their own friend – a magical creature with which they are inseparable.
And here are some of the heroes of Bayala.
Falaroy – he has captured the hearts of the elf girls, but he is entirely true to himself and is still unattached.
The Fairy – When she laughs, the whole world shines around her. The flowers stretch out their cups, and the birds sing their most tender and ringing songs.
Nuraya – High, high in the mountains, lives a deadly beautiful princess of the elves of the shadow. The sun's rays can never reach her home, called the Castle of the Dark Rock.
Liasa – She is a mighty elf warrior who is always ready to rush in with a dagger in one hand, followed by her faithful leopard companion. With his help, Liasa can always escape quickly or catch up with someone, because her animal runs at a speed of 75 m/h. Liasa is a friend of Umitok and serves as the messenger of Bayala.
