How to polish?

1. Secure the pad firmly with Velcro so that it does not slip during operation.

2. Clean the surface thoroughly. Start polishing with 50 grit at low speed, adjusting the speed if necessary.

3. Make sure the entire polished surface has the same level of smoothness before moving on to the next grit.

Repeat step 3 for each higher grit, starting at 50 to 3000. Do not skip any grits in between. Typically, the finished surface after 400 grit is scratch-free. Most of the stone will show a shine at 800 grit. If you still see scratches above 800 and 1500 grit, this is a sign that step 3 was not followed properly at the lower grits.
