Folding knife Opinel Inox - Colorama, No. 8, black

The knife Opinel Inox Colorama is a convenient companion for your favourite outdoor activities. The handle, made of French beech, is varnished so that it resists moisture and dirt, and thanks to the leather strap you can hang it anywhere and make it easier to carry.

The classic Opinel blade has taken the shape of a Yatagan. It offers excellent sharpness and high abrasion resistance, which allows it to withstand regular contact with hard materials such as ceramics before it needs to be sharpened again.

The stainless steel with a hardness of 55-57 HRC, used in the blades is a grade optimised to ensure both high corrosion resistance and high mechanical performance. The advantage of stainless steel is that it requires no special maintenance under normal conditions of use. However, it can reach its limits if it is placed in prolonged contact with aggressive environments (acid, salt water, cleaning products, etc.).

Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives from No. 6 upwards. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections - one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (safety in transport).
