A pair of opposed drivers extracts the lowest frequencies without vibration or rumble in the cabinet.

SONOS SUB 4 is a wireless subwoofer for home theatre and music that is added to an existing Sonos system over WiFi and handles frequencies down to 25 Hz. It connects to a Sonos soundbar or powered speaker from the app, where the level and phase are adjusted. The package includes the subwoofer, a 2 m power cable and documentation.

Frequencies down to 25 Hz for physically felt bass

Two elliptical 5" x 8" drivers are driven by two class D digital amplifiers tuned to the cabinet acoustics. The ported enclosure reinforces output in the lowest register.

Opposed drivers against cabinet vibration

The two drivers are mounted facing each other, so their mechanical forces cancel out. The cabinet therefore stays still even at high levels and does not transmit rattling to the furniture it stands on.

WiFi connection and setup via the Sonos app

One press of the Join button adds the subwoofer to the system, and a 10/100 Ethernet port is available for wired connection. In the app you set the bass level and phase correction 0° or 180°, and Trueplay measures the room's acoustics and fine-tunes the sound.

Works with Arc Ultra, Arc, Beam, Ray and Era 300

Requires at least one powered, non-portable Sonos product in the system. For home theatre a second subwoofer can be added: two Sub 4 units, or Sub 4 together with Sub (Gen 3).

Matte finish and acoustic slot instead of a handle

The opening in the middle of the cabinet also serves as a grip when carrying 11.79 kg of weight. The status LED can be switched off in the room settings if it faces the viewing area.
