Description

Magnetic water softener for electric and combined water heaters and plumbing installations

  • Hard water contains higher amounts of calcium or magnesium salts, which when crystallized create deposits (so-called “scale”) on water pipes, fittings and taps. This phenomenon increases rapidly when water is heated, so scale is deposited mainly on radiators of heaters, washing machines, dishwashers and electric kettles. Scale not only reduces the life of appliances, but also increases energy consumption. In addition, removing scale is very difficult and expensive, if at all possible.
  • How does a magnetic water softener work?
  • When the water is heated above 40 degrees, the calcium carbonate begins to decompose and precipitate. The metals present in the equipment form a base for stable deposits. The carbonates in the water, passing through the magnetic field, change the atomic equilibrium, forming unstable carbonates and carbon dioxide, which exit the installation through degassers.
  • Device for flow-through water treatment in domestic and industrial plumbing and circulation systems against scale (limestone) deposits.
  • The water used in plumbing installations contains dissolved calcium and magnesium ions, which determine its hardness. When the water starts to heat up, chemical reactions begin due to its hardness. These reactions form calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate, known as scale. Calcium carbonate is insoluble and precipitates. This causes scale in the systems, heat exchangers and, accordingly, in the appliances. This reaction also forms carbon dioxide, which has a corrosive effect. When it comes to household appliances, you can rely on a very simple solution that does not require maintenance or inspection by a specialist - installing a magnetic anti-scale device
  • Magnetic devices to prevent scale deposits on appliances (often called magnetic softeners) are suitable for drinking water. It is recommended to install them on the pipe of the water system (after the water meter), immediately before the water heater, boiler, washing machine or dishwasher.
  • "Magnetic softeners" work on the principle of permanent magnets that temporarily change the structure of carbonates. They are not particularly suitable for systems with water accumulation, where there is no constant circulation through the device, due to the temporary effect of the magnetic "softening". In these cases, only ion exchange resin systems are recommended.
