Thyme is one of the most versatile spices. It is used in teas, compresses, cosmetic products, and as a fresh seasoning for salads, soups, sauces, and marinades.
It successfully overwinters in Bulgaria. A semi-shrubby perennial plant. Thyme is a plant of the Mediterranean climate,
therefore it is demanding on heat and needs light, especially in the initial period.
Young plants develop slowly and do not tolerate shading.
Growing instructions: Sow the seeds 0.5-1 cm deep and water lightly to avoid washing away the seeds.
For a fragrant and rich harvest, ensure sunny exposure, well-drained soil, and regular watering.
For fresh consumption and a rich flavor, harvest before flowering.
For drying and preserving - collect after flowering.
It can also be grown in pots.
