Description

The engine oil is an ideal solution for diesel engines of passenger cars and light-duty transport vehicles. Specialists recommend its use in older turbocharged engines. It can also be used when driving under heavy load conditions on highways or in urban environments. 5-liter canister. Specifications: ACEA A3/B3; API SL/CF. Approvals: PSA B71 2295; MB-Approval 229.1; VW 501.01/505.00; Meets certain technical requirements of ISUZU. What should we know about them? ACEA A3/B3 – lubricants are intended for high-speed gasoline or diesel engines in passenger cars. They are free-flowing and are used with extended oil change intervals, if specified by the engine manufacturer. API SL – for gasoline cars, an old development from 2001. API CF – A standard from 1994. It is intended for off-road, indirect-injected, and other diesel engines, including those using fuel with a sulfur content above 0.5%. PSA B71 2295 – are intended for units manufactured before 1998 for the Peugeot and Citroën brands. The basic classifications within the specifications are similar to ACEA A2/B2. MB-Approval 229.1 – for passenger cars with diesel or gasoline engines, with a production year between 1998-2002. Requirements are increased compared to those of the ACEA A3/B3 standards. VW 501.01 – for certain VW engines manufactured before 2000. This is an old motor oil specification and is applicable only to engines manufactured before August 1999. After this date, the newer VW 502.00 specification is required. VW 505.00 – for those with a performance level of CCMC PD-2. At SAE 15W-40, it allows a maximum of 13% evaporation loss. This is an old specification for cars before 2000. Never confuse it with 505.01! It complies with ACEA A3/B3 standards, which is already a certificate of good quality. It has a high viscosity index, which is also an advantage because it behaves equally stable at all temperatures. It has excellent dispersing (detergent) properties and protects the engine from corrosion. Low tendency to foam formation. Physical-chemical properties: Viscosity class: 15W-40; Density at 15°: 888 cm3; Viscosity at 40°C, ASTM D445: 110 mm²/s; Viscosity at 100°C, ASTM D445: 14.3 mm²/s; ASTM Index D2270: 135. Specialists do not recommend relying on luck, but rather consulting your engine's owner manual before making your choice and buying the desired lubricant. There you will find a table describing all specifications and approvals that the lubricants must meet. View or download the technical certificate Total Automotive Lubricants Catalog
