Description

The new and improved formula of Total QUARTZ 7000 DIESEL 10W-40 motor oil is synthetic-based and designed for diesel engines. Various base additives are used, adding different additional properties to the lubricant. They can be used in passenger cars with multivalve or turbo engines. They are designed for normal operating conditions. It is also suitable for vehicles running on petrol and LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas). Pack size: one litre. Specifications: ACEA B4; API SL/CF. Approvals: PSA B71 2294; VW 501.01/505.00; MB 229.1. What should we know about them? ACEA A3/B4 – low-viscosity lubricants designed for petrol and diesel engines with direct injection (TDI). In terms of evaporation losses, as well as piston cleanliness and stability against oxidation processes, they surpass lubricants that meet ACEA A3/B3. API SL – for cars up to 2004. These lubricants can be used in some multivalve and turbo engines. They are energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. API CF – a standard from 1994. It is designed for off-road, indirect-injected and other diesel engines, including those that use fuel with a sulphur content above 0.5%. PSA B71 2294 – the approval was introduced in 2009 and is intended for the Peugeot and Citroën brands. The main requirements match the ACEA A3/B4 specification plus additional requirements. VW 501.01 – suitable for some VW engines manufactured before 2000. This is an old class of motor oils and is applicable only to engines manufactured before August 1999. After this date, they must have VW 502.00. VW 505.00 – for motor oils in diesel units with performance level CCMC PD-2. For oils with viscosity 10W-40, a maximum of 15% evaporation loss is permitted. This is an old specification for cars before 2000. Never confuse it with 505.01! MB 229.1 – for passenger cars with diesel or petrol engines manufactured between 1998 and 2002. The requirements are higher than those of the ACEA A3/B3 standards. They are not recommended for use in cars manufactured after 2002, namely the petrol M271, M275, M28, as well as the diesel OM646, OM647 and OM648. Physico-chemical properties: Viscosity grade: 10W-40; Density at 15°: 873.6 cm3; Viscosity at 40°C, ASTM D445: 96.8 mm²/s; Viscosity at 100°C, ASTM D445: 14.81 mm²/s; ASTM D2270 index: 160. Advantages: Resistance to acids; They have excellent dispersing (cleaning) properties and, as a result, the engine's cleanliness is maintained at all service intervals, preventing loss of power; They add extra protection against wear and corrosion; They extend the service life of the unit.
