Description

The high-quality engine oil Total Quartz 9000 5W-40 is manufactured using synthetic technology and is designed for gasoline and diesel engines (multi-valve, turbocharged, equipped with a catalytic converter or not). It can be used under complex driving conditions as well as year-round. It is an ideal solution for harsh operating conditions (city traffic or on highways). They can be used in all driving styles, including sports and high-speed driving. 4-liter canister. Specifications: ACEA A3/B4; API SN/CF. Approvals: VW 502.00/505.00; MB 229.3; BMW Longlife-01; PSA B71 2296; PORSCHE A40. What should we know about them? ACEA A3/B4 – volatile lubricants are designed for gasoline and diesel engines with direct injection (TDI). Regarding evaporation losses, as well as piston cleanliness and oxidation stability, they outperform lubricants with ACEA A3/B3. API SN – used in cars with biofuel-powered engines. The approval requires motor oils to be energy-saving. At the same time, it provides additional durability for the engine. They are characterized by a lower phosphorus content. API CF - standard from 1994. Designed for off-road, indirect-injected, and other diesel engines, including those using fuel with a sulfur content above 0.5%. VW 502.00 – for gasoline engines manufactured after August 1999. Succeeds VW 501.01 and VW 500.00. Recommended for engines operating in severe conditions. It must not be used on those with extended service intervals! VW 505.00 – for diesel engines with CCMC PD-2 performance level. At SAE 5W-40 viscosity, allows a maximum of 15% evaporation loss. This is an old specification for cars before 2000. Never confuse it with 505.01! MB 229.3 – lubricants for passenger cars with an extended oil change interval (up to 30 thousand kilometers in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations). The basic requirements are higher compared to ACEA A3/B4 standards. They are recommended for use in the M100 and M200 series, as well as for diesel engines – OM600 series (excluding models with a particulate filter). BMW Longlife-01 – used in some BMW gasoline engine cars starting from the 09.2001 production year and extended Longlife oil change interval. Basic requirements exceed those of the ACEA A3/B3 classification. PSA B71 2296 – the lubricant approval was introduced in 2009 and developed for the Peugeot and Citroën brands. The basic ACEA requirements for it are A3/B4. Physicochemical properties: Viscosity class: 5W-40; Density at 15°: 854.3 kg/m3; Viscosity at 40°C, ASTM D445: 82.19 mm²/s; Viscosity at 100°C, ASTM D445: 13.60 mm²/s; Advantages: They satisfy the strictest requirements of manufacturers, thus guaranteeing the stability and quality of the product; The formula was updated and improved in 2008. Thus, the unique combination of base oils and additional additives takes care of the excellent oxidation stability of the lubricant; They have good dispersing (detergent) properties; They improve wear protection for vulnerable engine parts, thereby increasing its service life.
